Your start in the film industry
The Film Forge Vocational Training Center at Nu Boyana Film Studios has evolved into a dynamic hub for nurturing film industry talent.
Our core mission remains focused on streamlining the production training process, but our impact has gone far beyond initial expectations. Just during 2023 over two hundred students were employed on major productions such as Hellboy, Shadowland, Air Force One Down, and many others, filmed at Nu Boyana Film Studios. Film Forge has proven itself as a launchpad for promising careers.
Film Forge Media has produced its own reality show, Runway Reels Fashion on Film, along with commercials, music videos and short films. These achievements are a testament to the dedication and skill of our mentors, and the trust our students place in us to guide them in their chosen vocations.
At Film Forge, we offer a comprehensive training experience designed to prepare students for real challenges in the film industry. Here’s what you can expect from our programs:
- Real-world exposure: Gain firsthand experience working on a professional film set. From pre-production planning to the fast-paced environment of production, you’ll understand every aspect of filmmaking.
- Diverse role exploration: Whether you’re interested in acting, directing, or technical roles behind the camera, our programs allow you to explore various positions within the industry. You’ll have opportunities to act as extras, assist with production tasks, and much more.
- Portfolio building: Work on diverse projects that highlight your skills and creativity. These experiences will help you build a robust portfolio to showcase to potential employers.

From proof to release
One of our notable projects “Refuge” exemplifies the success of our training model. Collaborating with director Renny Harlin, we produced a proof of concept that got significant interest from distributors. This led to its release on PrimeVideo and AppleTV on April 19, 2024.
